An opportunity to learn about the ecology and lifecycle of the Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary and its requirements. This free workshop is being run in conjunction with Butterfly Conservation and led by Dr Jenny Joy and Mike Williams. It is hoped participants may have the opportunity to monitor butterflies in the Stiperstones area.
The day will involve a presentation in the morning and site visits in the afternoon to practice and discuss monitoring and counting methods on the slopes of the Stiperstones. This will involve a walk of up to 10km over rough and boggy terrain.
