Tuesday Task Team, Long Pool, the Bog

Join us for some hands on conservation work clearing scrub at Long Pool, the Bog.  This practical work is part of Shropshire Wildlife Trust's Wet Flush Project to manage rare and valuable habitats. Everyone welcome, no experience is necessary, training and tools provided.  Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring a picnic. Advanced Scything and Peening Course, Pontesbury

Blakemoorgate Cottages open from 11am

Visit the restored 19th-century squatter cottages to see how some of the miners and their families lived. The cottages are open the 1st Sunday of each month from April to October.
