Improving the diversity in roadside verges, Norbury Village Hall

We are helping Myndtown Combined Parish Council to improve their road side verges.  This community event is a chance to find out more about wildflowers and how we plan to increase numbers and variety on the verges.  As well as information and dicussions, we'll be making a start by sowing seeds along a section of roadside verge near the Village Hall.  Everyone is welcome to join us.  There'll also be some top tips for creating your own mini meadow!

Blakemoorgate Cottages open from 11am

Visit the restored 19th-century squatter cottages to see how some of the miners and their families lived. The cottages are open the 1st Sunday of each month from April to October. Parking is available at Snailbeach Village Hall - please remember to leave your donation in the box at the car park entrance.  From here it is an uphill walk of about 3/4 hour to the settlement, following in the footsteps of the miners.
