Marvellous Moths

Improve your moth id skills and learn about the practicalities of moth trapping. Led by Dave Green from Butterfly Conservation.  There is a charge of £5 for the first session you attend, then subsequent sessions are free. The workshops will run from 8.30pm (dusk) ‘til late and are part of our habitat restoration project Rescuing Rocks and Overgrown Relics. Blakemoorgate Cottages open from 11am

Visit the restored 19th-century squatter cottages to see how some of the miners and their families lived. The cottages are open the 1st Sunday of each month from April to October. A family of time travellers have set up camp.... The Camp is high up on the hill, off-line, in the clear air and the cooling breezes.
